Have you heard of wildcard people? I am one of them.
Over the past decade and a half, I’ve done quite a lot:
- ran national surveys whose findings ended up quoted all over the place;
- worked as a data journalist at Poland’s largest newspaper, analyzing data across all kinds of topics — and got nominated for an award along the way;
- got a PhD in humanities and contributed essays to some serious publications;
- taught programming, data analysis and data visualization to students and professionals;
- led the Data & Intelligence team at a respected think tank working on energy, climate and the digital economy.
My thing is picking up new skills fast and making them work together — which is how I got from studying classical Arabic to managing data projects.
